About the Discord Timestamp Generator
Scheduling across time zones is painful. Discord solves it with timestamp codes: when you send a code like <t:1790000000:R>, Discord replaces it with the date and time converted to each reader's local time zone, or a live countdown like in 3 hours.
Choose a date and time in your own time zone, and this generator builds the code for all seven Discord formats, from a short time to a full date with the weekday. Copy the one you want and paste it into any message, event description or announcement.
The number in each code is a Unix timestamp: the number of seconds since January 1, 1970 in UTC. You can also type one in directly to see which date it points to.
How to use it
- Pick the date and time in your time zone, or use a quick button.
- Choose a format from the list and press Copy.
- Paste the code into Discord. After you send it, everyone sees it in their local time.

Discord Timestamp Generator FAQ
- How do Discord timestamps work?
- The code holds one exact moment as a Unix timestamp. Discord reads it and shows that moment in each viewer's own time zone and language, so nobody has to convert times.
- Do timestamps work on the Discord mobile app?
- Yes. Timestamps show in local time on Discord desktop, web and mobile.
- What does the R format do?
- It shows a relative, live-updating time, like in 5 minutes or 2 days ago, which is perfect for countdowns to events.
- Is this tool made by Discord?
- No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Discord.
