Doodle Jumper

Bounce higher, miss nothing, and try not to look down.

About Doodle Jumper

The endless jumper is one of the purest arcade formats ever made: you bounce automatically, you only steer left and right, and the floor is always somewhere below you. One missed platform ends the run, which is exactly why you go again.

Platforms come in three kinds. Green ones are solid, blue ones slide from side to side, and brown ones crumble the moment you land, so they buy you one bounce and nothing more. The higher you climb the further apart they sit.

Run off the left of the screen and you reappear on the right, which is not a bug but the oldest trick in the genre. Your best height is kept on your own device so you always have a number to beat.

How to play

  1. Press Start, or hit space, to begin the run.
  2. Steer left and right. Jumping happens on its own every time you land.
  3. Aim for the next platform up, and use the screen wrap to cross gaps.
  4. Brown platforms break after one bounce, so never plan two jumps on one.
  5. Miss everything and fall off the bottom, and the run is over.

Controls

  • Keyboard: left and right arrows, or A and D
  • Keyboard: space or Enter to start and restart
  • Touch: hold the left or right half of the screen
  • Mouse: hold the left or right side of the game area

How to score higher

  • Stay near the middle of the screen. The edges leave you fewer options on the way down.
  • Line up the next platform while you are still rising, not after you start to fall.
  • Use the screen wrap deliberately: it is often the shortest route to a far platform.
  • Treat moving platforms as timing puzzles, and land on them as they come toward you.
  • Never aim for a brown platform unless it is the only thing between you and a solid one.
  • Small steering taps beat holding a direction down, which is how most runs end.

Why endless jumpers are so hard to put down

The whole genre runs on one loop: a run lasts under a minute, the ending is always your own fault, and the fix is obvious. That combination of short runs and visible mistakes is what makes people press retry, and it is the reason the format has outlived the phones it was invented for.

Doodle Jumper FAQ

Is this Doodle Jump?
No. This is an original endless jumper in the same style. It is not affiliated with Lima Sky, who make Doodle Jump.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Hold the left or right half of the screen to steer. The game area resizes to fit your screen.
Is my high score saved?
Yes, in your own browser. It survives a refresh, and it is never uploaded anywhere.
What do the different platforms do?
Green platforms are solid, blue ones move from side to side, and brown ones break after a single bounce.
