About the Photo Booth
This photo booth uses your webcam to take a picture, then hands you the fun part: filters, emoji stickers you place by tapping, and meme captions across the top and bottom in the classic Impact style.
The camera preview is mirrored, the way you expect a selfie to look, and the captured photo keeps that mirroring. If you would rather not use a camera, you can upload a photo instead and decorate that.
Nothing is uploaded or recorded. The camera feed stays in your browser, the photo is drawn on a canvas on your device, and the stream stops as soon as you take the shot.
How to use it
- Press Start camera and allow camera access, or upload a photo instead.
- Take the photo, then pick a filter and tap the image to place stickers.
- Add top and bottom text, then download the PNG.
Filters and what they are good for
- Black and white: makes any photo look more serious than it is.
- Sepia: instant old photograph.
- Deep fried: blown out color and contrast, the classic meme look.
- Cool: a blue shift that flatters most indoor lighting.
- Inverted: a cursed negative, best paired with a caption.
If the camera does not start
- Check the camera permission for this site in your browser settings.
- Close other apps that may be holding the camera, like a video call.
- Cameras only work on secure pages, so make sure the address starts with https.
- On a shared or school device, the camera may be blocked by policy. Upload a photo instead.
Photo Booth FAQ
- Is my photo or video uploaded anywhere?
- No. The camera feed and the photo stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is recorded.
- Why is my photo mirrored?
- The preview is mirrored so it matches what you see in a mirror, and the photo keeps that so it looks the way you expected when you took it.
- Can I use it without a webcam?
- Yes. Choose Upload a photo instead, and you get the same filters, stickers and captions.
