About the Cracked Screen Prank
This one draws a shattered screen: an impact point with cracks spidering outward, rings joining them, and a bright glow at the center. Tap anywhere to add another impact, so you can build up a convincingly ruined screen in a couple of seconds.
It works best fullscreen on a phone, handed to someone right after they hear a suspicious noise. On a laptop it reads as a broken display.
Nothing is damaged. It is a drawing on a canvas, and Escape or closing the tab makes it disappear.
How to use it
- Tap the preview to place the cracks where you want them.
- Press Go fullscreen and hand the device over.
- Press Escape, or close the tab, to make the damage vanish.
How to sell it
- Add two or three impact points rather than one. Real breaks are rarely tidy.
- Hand the device over face down, then let them turn it up.
- Make a small noise first. The sound is half the prank.
- Own up quickly. Nobody enjoys believing their screen is broken for long.
